BITMAIN and Core Scientific Open First Cooperative Repair Center in North America

BITMAIN, the top global manufacturer of cryptocurrency mining equipment, announced that it has expanded its partnership with Core Scientific to create the first cooperative repair facility in North America. This move is aimed at ensuring North American customers can have their machines repaired with original parts, while reducing the downtime associated with sending devices back to China.

Irene Gao, ANTMINER Sales Director of NCSA Region, BITMAIN, expressed excitement about the expanded offerings in North America through the collaboration with Core Scientific. She highlighted the importance of repair and maintenance, as miners are in a continuous working condition, and how the repair service facility with original components will ensure efficient and reliable services for their clients. The facility is seen as another milestone in their collaboration with Core Scientific and their commitment to the local markets in North America.

According to Kevin Turner, the CEO of Core Scientific, “Having a repair work facility close to miners in the United States is crucial to improving efficiency when it comes to fixing mining gears.” By eliminating the significant costs and lost time associated with sending equipment back to Asia, the partnership can help BITMAIN and the mining industry as a whole to continue to expand. Additionally, the skilled in-house engineering team now has access to original replacement components, ensuring that devices are still under warranty.

Core Scientific, as BITMAIN’s participating repair facility, will be able to conduct repairs for any customer whose ANTMINER warranties have expired. Repairs will be completed by engineers who have obtained BITMAIN’s Ant Training Academy certification.

The statement highlights the growing collaboration between BITMAIN and Core Scientific, with Core Scientific recently purchasing almost 18,000 units of BITMAIN bitcoin mining machines. Additionally, BITMAIN and Core Scientific previously announced the establishment of the first Ant Training Academy in North America, which provides training and certification to local individuals.
